Chicks dig scars, not bruises (Part 3)

Happened during XC (again!). I therefore conclude that XC is THE most dangerous discipline a human being can enter.

I was advised to get a few stitches, but that just felt pretentious.

"Now there's your problem!" I popped a spoke on my Mavic Crossmax SX wheel, this is the first spoke I've popped since I got the wheels in October 2011! They are still true tho'.

Got some new shoes from FiveTen, they might resemble the classic VXi, and in many ways they do, there is however a big difference; they use a brand new rubber compound; Mi6 rubber, according to FiveTen its their most grippy rubber yet, with empiric data to back that up. I'm doing a preview soon(ish) so stay tuned..

Recent random shots Part 1/2

Been doing a ton of riding these last few weeks. Lots of xc (cardio,cardio,cardio), a lot of trail riding as well, some tech stuff, some air sessions as well, a good mix so to say. Here are some random shots taken during these last few weeks;

Mr.Madsen hitting a jump on a yet-to-be-annonced flow-dh line. Stay tuned.

One of the places I visited recently, had bermsss, and I have to give out props, these berms where HUGE, long and tall, the dirt was compact and grippy, finally someone gets it!

Mid-ride beer for the win.

Im back on a 50mm stem, after a few years of 70mm. The transition has been better than expected, way more advantages than disadvantages. This is a KCNC stem, its a stem, nothing much to add. Weight is impressive tho'.

A natural berm, on that un-annonced trail.

Drea sent me this shot from some internal Specialized dealer camp he attended. This is the new 2015 Specialized platform pedal "Boomslang".  This pedal first saw light in 2011, and went into the dark again, now its popped up again, in what looks to be, a market ready version. Details are unknown (by me anyway), but expect it to be big, lighweight, and have long pins. (note the spare pins on the side)

Agent Orange

A trip to happyland for Drea, after his complicated arm fracture. Doped on Ketamine, a drug to sedate horses, Drea sure had a wacky time in the ambulance:
(click to enlarge, the facial expression is priceless)

Used in the Vietnam war as well. Ketamine wasn't a big succes, as the soldiers influenced by ketamine began to see pink teddybears.....on fire. Different strings of morphine where much more successful, despite its sedative side effects.

According to Drea, it didnt even remove the pain, it freaked him out tho; he was literally screaming his lungs out in the ambulance in a panicking manner, man was that shit hilarious!

Air Session

Mr.Madsen and I had a little air session. Great weather, beer, and a high spirit resulted in good times.

Sending it on Mr. Madsens Bad idea drop.

Mr. Madsen had the opportunity to hit his own "bad idea" -drop for the very first time. Here he inspects the run-in. Transition is barely visible at the very bottom of this pic in the right corner.

Mr. Madsen hitting the Skull Drop. Curiously Madsen though that this drop was more scary to hit.

Mr.Madsen hitting the "old" trailgap. The new one is barely seen in the background.
