"Bike Park"

I had a short stroll down the local park with Henning the other day, and we stumbled upon this little drop. We began to session it, and before we knew it, we where getting a whole lot of airtime. I think its safe to say that this is the longest drop I have ever made in an urban environment. Landing is smooth, and there is actually little to it - just go fast.

8 meters (26 feet) out, and about 2 meters (6 feet) down.

Random Stuff Part 2 of 2

Random shots from different rides, continued:

Had a short 3 hour ride with Jan, and he brought along his Canyon Strive. I haven't seen this particular bike in real life before, besides on the internetzz, gotta say, I was positively surprised by the aesthetics. Highlights include; a 36'er up front, a Float out back, and a Reverb post. The heart is a single pivot, and its made out of alu.

And there he goes. Jan was smiling all day, and he summed it up with a "I never had this much fun on a bike".

Temporarily back on my Michelin Wild Rock'R for the front. Amazing tire, but, nothing beats the king; Maxxis Highroller - so that's coming back on eventually.

A new line is slowly taking shape, still a whole lot of rolling resistance tho', but  the jumps are getting dialed in. Good fun.

Random Stuff Part 1 of 2

A good collection of recent shots. Completely random, for your viewing pleasure.

Still working on that table. Still a long way to go. I need to angle my legs some more, and be more aggressive with the handlebar. Man, its hard to dial it in.

My CCDB actually died this day...mmhmm...for the second time. Got it back from repairs at TF Tuned, everything should be sorted out. To say that I'm disappointed in reliability of the CCDB would be an understatement. Its supposed to be pretty much the best money can buy, did a friggin monkey build mine up? What the deal man? The performance itself is amazing tho' - when it works.

The power of this blog...

...or just common sense.

I just recently cried about this double drop, that I couldn't figure out how to ride. After re-visiting Malente a few days ago...it was no more. The trailbuilders killed it.

It looked something like this, a few weeks ago. (yes, those red stripes are supposed to look  like the former drop, fear my paint skillzz, just sayin')

Oh, and thanks to those who contributed with ideas as to how I was supposed to ride this feature, some of the comments are gold, check them out here.

Inverted roadgap.......and a dog.

This is a small spot we rode on our third day, of our recent roadtrip.

 Inverted roadgap.......and a dog.

Why inverted-roadgap? Well, you gap the entire road, and you start a foot below the actual road, where a small improvised kicker launches you into the air. Take a look:

Why "...and a dog". Well, this is my actual run-in to the video above. Watch closely:

A WTF moment for me there.
